To be or not to be a yarn snob

I was reading someone's blog this morning and I found a really neat button to add. That blogger was saying almost all of us start out using "just" yarn, like our mom's did. The thing is, not all of us move up to the lys yarn. See I like to knit with my favorite new wool, but I can't afford to do that all the time. Also, I have all this yarn that I inherited and was gifted and I feel the need to use it up. So I am in a spot. How can I buy yarn from my LYS ($$) if I have all this yarn sitting in my yarn drawers that need to be used. So I haven't bought yarn for my sweater yet. The only yarn I allow myself to buy is the 2 skeins that is needed to make socks. Here is the button. It is my blue collar roots showing through. I have mad knitting skillz!
